About the Kindertransport Memorial Audio Bench
In the middle of the Mayor’s Garden in Harwich, everyone is welcome to have a seat and listen to recorded testimonials of some of the children = ‘kinder’ who arrived in Harwich in 1938 – about how they came here and their stay at the holiday camp.
The bench was kindly funded by the Essex Community Foundation, Harwich Haven Authority, Essex Heritage Trust and Grassroots.
